Avocado Toast Recipe
A slice of sourdough bread
Wondrous chemistry of flour, water and living yeast arising

Spread the richness of sun and soil over the life giving bread. Oh yes!
A boiled egg
Seed of mother bird within hardened calcium shell, strangely ejected;
Fire applied to water alters its state to oviform—firm, yellow and white. Miraculous!
Slice with the metal taken from the ground and place on top with great delight.
Sliced grape tomatoes
Red round sacs hold liquidy, earthy, seedy, life-giving nutrients;
Cut open and douse with oil pressed from olives plucked from trees we never see,

Salt
A gift from the sea, taken from water or rock, a phenomenal reality;
Sparkling white taste enhancer, tongue-dancer;
Sprinkle on with liberty
Eat
Open mouth in wonder, bite with grateful strength,
Chew with delight of flavor, swallow in reverent joy.
For these heavenly gifts we by no means create, but only take
