My Poems

Judy Blume, Judy Blume--I knew your name. I saw it often on the books my daughter read voraciously...

My closet is full of rough clothes—Denim, flannel, corduroy and such,Hiking high tops and rubber boots...

The long dark road winds behind us now. Blacks, purples, greys and haze--colors borne in the tragic pain...

Dove of love with an olive branch…

The earth is longing for you

With hope of peace and promise of release

From prisons of pain and storm...

A slice of sourdough bread. chemistry of flour, water and living yeast arising. Harnessed fire applied...

Tiny mirrors catching the dawn. A world reborn in every droplet before the sun drinks the silver.

A prayer to the God of my life.

The world is charged with the grandeur of God.

    It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;

    It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil...
