Unexpected Events

Right after the patio and pergola/arbor/gate were complete, my life took a turn that put everything on hold. My 88 year old mother came to live with me, and a few months later my brother passed away. A story in itself, but I'll stick to our tale.

I wasn't able to work on the prayer garden for almost two years. Pictures of 2012 and 2013 are missing, but using my journals, Facebook posts, and receipts, I can place two things I did for the garden during this period: when I went to our family ranch for my brother's funeral, I saw two pillars of wood in the barn. I left them, but later, after an inner prompting, I rented a trailer and drove down to South Texas to pick them up.

May of 2012 my mom passed from earthly life. I was stuck as far as how to proceed with the garden. I couldn't decide on a layout, so April of 2013 I paid a landscaper designer to draw up a garden plan. More on that later.

Then, two more events converged that impacted me and my mission: 1) My church invited me to take a leadership class, and 2) I had a dream.
